Did you know that the first generation of Daihatsu Terios currently lives under two other brands? Apparently so.

First one, Premier Rio, seems to accomplish the diesel Terios dream with a downsized Peugeot TUD5 engine. This engine however, delivers only 65 bhp of power. It is Euro-III ready and the company is trying to meet the Euro-IV emission norms, before April 2010.

The second one,  Zotye 2008 A.K.A RX6400 or Nomad (or Nomada. I am not exactly sure since the names varies from source to source), uses a range of Mitsubishi-derived, fuel-injected, 4-cylinder engines, dubbed 4G13 and 4G15, 1.3L (108Nm) and 1.5L (134Nm) respectively.

Sadly, both vehicles are rear wheel drive.
